Resulting from many years research into professional dynamics applications, it offers separate Compress, Limit, Expand, Gate and side chain EQ functions, with full independent control of all parameters. The Oxford Dynamics ( 1.5.2) plug-in is modeled on the extremely flexible and capable unit used in the OXF-R3 professional mixing console. The Sonnox Elite Collection contains seven powerful mixing plug-ins used by countless professionals all over the world So basically your fuched, whomsoever's read this far!įor when it goes on sale the Brainworx bx_digital V3 is a great clean eq for mastering/buss or individual channels if need be.it's generally a stereo eq but can be run mono. The Oxford Plug-ins have earned a world-class reputation for their high-quality processing, precision control and intuitive graphical interfaces. Nor can you trust anything anyone else says! Oh and there is also the mentality point!ĩ9 times out of 100 people will argue that whatever they spent their money on is better than what you spent your money on! Even if they have never tried what you spent your money on, and therefore have no biased capability to put in an objective opinion on the matter, they'll still argue to the death that theirs is a better buy! And so will I, so basically you can't trust anything I say!

Oh and TDR Slick EQ is great, but the Slick EQ isn't as clean IMO, nor as versatile as Sonnox stuff, or Fabfilter, however NOVA is almost as versatile, and the paid version more so, and totally worth the $35 or whatever! That one is better as well than the Crave EQ!!! Honestly! That's why I couldn't pay for the Crave EQ as it is not better than the Free Nova eq so.why pay when you can pay $34 and get a better eq? Doesn't make sense to me, but everyone has their own tastes of course! It does the job, but is not better, but not bad either in any way! As long as it's under $50 go for it! However I've never seen Fabfilter under $50 which is way I just can not recommend it! All it is 1's and 0's so who the fuch want's to pay that much money for 1's and 0's? Ridiculous! I personally think it's ok, but that's me. Crave is ok, but still lacks in a lot of ways. However still the Fabfilter is the most all around eq you can get. If you want something simple to use and affordable within track-essential bundle, then Toneboosters EQ is also pretty good to me.ĭThis is older but anyone looking for a must have eq that's cheaper than Sonnox stuff(some of the time at sales)but just as good! Of course the Fabfilter ProQ3, UAD Cambridge, Flux are all good stuff.

minimum or linear phase processing, EQ matching etc. ProQ-2 has everything important really quickly accessible in one of best UIs, including very quick split M/S or L/R EQing. DMG Equilibrium is king of clean EQs with regards to different and insane processing options and customizable UI. If you rather like direct EQ curve editing, then most popular choice would be probably either Fabfilter ProQ-2 or DMG Equick/Equilibrium. To me basic characteristic of Sonnox EQ is fixed console like layout with knobs, particular color coding and fixed frequency ranges and curve responses. Let's say in Cubase, Samplitude, Logic, Ableton etc. Most of current DAW clean EQs are pretty good and sufficient too. So I rather think about how quickly you can reach the sonic goal. for me its more about workflow, not about sound itself, which is typically very similar if you match the curves.
